NewswireTODAY - /newswire/ - Copenhagen, Denmark, 2008/10/09 - Maersk Line is pleased to announce that we will add an additional vessel to the rotation of the SAMBA service, which covers the trade from East Coast South America to Middle East.

These changes will allow us to improve the schedule reliability and to run the vessels at an optimal speed, providing a more environmentally friendly transport due to reduced emissions. By adding a vessel, we will increase the transit time by an average of four days.

The first vessel on the new schedule will be Maersk Jakarta with an estimated time of arrival at the Suez Canal on 5 November 2008.

The rotation of the service will be unchanged: Itajai (Brazil), Paranagua (Brazil), Rio Grande (Brazil), Santos (Brazil), Salalah (Oman), Jebel Ali (UAE), Algeciras (Spain), Dakar (Senegal), and Vitoria (Brazil)
