Lanner Electronics Inc., a leading designer and manufacturer of advanced network video platforms, today announced its participation in this year’s Security Essen fair, to be held from October 7-10 in Essen, Germany. Lanner will unveil its latest flagship video communications product – the VN-3032 Network Video Recorder – at Security Essen 2008.
The Lanner VN-3032 is a 32-channel NVR with internal storage, hardware RAID and 32-channel audio and video synchronization. It supports dual high-end quad-core Intel® Xeon® CPUs, and four copper or fiber gigabit Ethernet ports for high speed network communications. Its use of the latest H.264/AVC standard video technology enables high quality, low bitrate video capture and the ability to process more video streams at once compared to earlier technologies.
"This 32-channel platform marks a major breakthrough for video surveillance applications," said Tim Chen, Senior Vice President for Video Communications. "The Lanner VN-3032 is the first NVR to offer 32 channels of full D1 resolution along with internal RAID storage and all the benefits of H.264/AVC video technology. By building the VN-3032 on the H.264/AVC standard, we can capture and process very high quality video along with impressive compression, which allows us to simultaneously record, compress, store and transmit up to 32 channels of high quality video with a single video server. The ability to aggregate, access and manage many video streams from a centralized location through a user-friendly interface is extremely important for the video surveillance industry. Additionally, the VN-3032’s unique modular design provides a new level of customization flexibility and scalability for large-scale surveillance projects."
Lanner (lannerinc.com) will also display a range of other network video products including a compact 4-channel video server with dual Ethernet and Power over Ethernet, and a fanless embedded system with dual video out and onboard storage for digital signage and kiosk applications.
Lanner welcomes all Security Essen visitors to come by our booth and view the latest advances in video technology, at Hall One, Booth #331, from October 7 through 10, 2008. Or visit us any time on the website.
