A new relationship and compatibility test “that achieves what most tests seek but seldom accomplish”, was announced last week on Mark Brook’s blog by relationship guru Dr. Joel Block.
Block was describing his ButterfliesAgain I-dating software, which is supposed to be shorter, more user friendly and potentially much more effective in generating long-term matches.
However, controversy soon arose when James Houran, another highly respected relationship expert, questioned Block’s methodology. What resulted, was one of the most heated exchanges ever to sizzle on Brook’s blog.
Houran attacked the potential effectiveness of Block’s test, while Block questioned whether Houran had actually invested the time to take the test for himself in order to be justified in making such criticism.
After numerous angry pages of give and take, Block likened himself to Rocky, the underdog contender of movie fame being pummeled by the current champ (Houran).
Block then suggested a challenge to Houran to take a full six months and create a test better than ButterfliesAgain. “I’m 100% sincere in this challenge. And I’ve spelled out the criteria for which his test and mine would be measured,” stated Block.
As of now, the I-dating world is anxiously waiting Houran’s response. It may finally have been achieved. That's the "buzz" circulating in the I-dating industry blogs.
The focus of their attention is ButterfliesAgain, the brand new testing software created by highly-respected human relations and compatibility expert and psychologist, Dr. Joel Block. While there are many tests out there, when Block takes time to produce his own, peers take notice – almost as if the professor is showing all the "students" how it really should be done.
And, if you believe all the raves that have come in from specialists in the I-dating arena, he deserves straight A's across the board. According to Dr. Ron Murphy, Clinical Supervisor, Doctoral Program in Clinical Psychology, Columbia University, "Dr. Block has developed a test that focuses on real areas of communication and compatibility that therapists recognize as central to a thriving relationship." In doing so, Block may have also crossed two heretofore sacred barriers.
The first is that he has compared test results of couples with high compatibility matches on their ButterfliesAgain test scores with results attained on the same test by long-time happily married couples. The similarity between the two groups was unmistakable. He feels, this is strong evidence that his test produces matches with greater potential for longevity.
The second barrier is that his test cuts over an hour off the time required by other such tests. While most other I-dating sites and services require up to 1½ hours to complete, Block's ButterfliesAgain test takes a mere 15 minutes.
