When the words ‘Amateur Golf’ are mentioned around the world, most people tend to associate this with the club player or official governing bodies. Sadly this eliminates the millions of avid amateurs who enjoy this sport but are generally very rarely recognised as part of the thriving global golfing community.
All amateurs however, aspire to reach the giddy heights of one day playing on the big stage and standing on the podium to the acclaim of their peers.
One company, Globalgolfers.com has bridged the gap between the club and non-club players by offering all golfers the chance to not only gain an accredited handicap certificate but also play in the best stage-managed events anywhere in the world.
Since 1992, Globalgolfers.com have been managing events throughout the United Kingdom, sending golfers off to overseas finals such as Las Vegas, Jamaica, Pinehurst NC, Bahamas, Portugal and Spain to name but a few. Over 6,000 participants competed each year for the coveted places at each of the finals.
From the beginning of 2008, Globalgolfers.com rolled out a new turn-key solution for other countries to participate in a world-wide network allowing amateurs to participate in our overseas finals. This will allow our license holders in other countries to run and manage our event program, sending their own finalists to our exciting finals in Las Vegas and the Caribbean.
“With France, Ireland, USA, Spain, Nigeria and Ghana already signed up for 2008, a new program,is being launched to bring in more partners from the continent.
With new overseas partners signing up, amateurs who only play once in a while and who do not, for various reasons, wish to belong to a golf club will now have access to genuine events where they will be welcome to participate in professionally managed and staged events.
