More than 200 industrial decision makers and professionals are expected to attend. It is dedicated to aircrafts manufacturing & maintenance value; including equipments parts supply chain, advanced technology & materials to MRO & PMAs, support & infrastructure system.
China’s aerospace industry has made its remarkable progress in 2008 – the new born state-owned “giant“, CACC (Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China). It is a counterpunch to the old lagged manufacturing system; brings new opportunities to major domestic aircraft manufacturers. CACC will lead the ARJ-21 and jumbo aircraft design program with the backbone of the integration of AVIC I, II to reinforce China's aerospace industry.
There are reasons to believe China will succeed in their Commercial Aircraft Project. With an initial registered capital of 2.8 billion USD, CACC expects more subsidies from government deep pocket. It will for sure have beneficial policies. China’s state own airlines will be its stable customer base. And beyond all these, is enormous market potential as more than 1.3 billion population with rising wealth and their need of traveling around a 9.6 million square kilometers domain, and abroad. In fact, as the world’s fastest growing and second large market, China demands over 3,400 civil aircrafts with total value of 340 billion USD in the next 2 decades, accounting for more than 10% of the total world demand.
Even with the promising future, the survival and success of China’s own commercial aircraft, or more ambitiously, China’s own commercial aircraft industry is by no means an easy task. How to compete internationally under the WTO civil aviation standards and regulations? How to cooperate with duopoly, Bombardier and Embraer in regional airliner markets? How to build and efficiently manage the supply chain, which may include hundreds of parts suppliers worldwide? How to meet further challenge of post sales service and maintenance? How to have the China aircraft certified to fly in Europe and America? These questions shall be kept in mind on the journey of making China’s aircraft.
Therefore, at this early stage of China’ ambitious plan for commercial aviation, CDMC (China Decision Makers Consultancy), together with Shanghai Academy of Social Science, proudly presents the Commercial Aircraft Forum China 2008.
