Weitkamper Technology today announced the availability of XSEARCH Federated Search.
The new Meta Search Engine technology for Portals and Enterprises enables users to access all necessary information with a single query.
XSEARCH Federated Search brings together multiple sources together within one query. Instead of using endless search interfaces, all sources can be processed through a single website.
All results are dynamically merged, filtered and ranked.
"Information Professionals spend a lot of time querying all relevant sources. And the filtering and reviewing of hits is even more time consuming," says Norbert Weitkämper, CEO of Weitkamper Technology. "XSEARCH Federated Search not only solves the issue, but even offers Knowledge Discovery functions such as Clustering or Named Entity Recognition."
The underlying technology can be adapted to nearly every search engine, no matter if internal, Internet or subscription based. For every source the most relevant information will be extracted and delivered.
XSEARCH Federated Search can be easily embedded into native Business Applications and Websites. Connection to third party products can be realized by its SOA module or Java Library.
XSEARCH Federated Search relies on a 100% Java infrastructure and supports many UNIX, Linux and Windows systems.
