A majority of the proceeds will go to The Chicago Alliance to End Homelessness, a not-for-profit committed to creating, supporting, and sustaining effective strategies to END homelessness in Chicago. Mayor Richard M. Daley exclaims, “This event provides a great opportunity to highlight Chicago’s Plan to End Homelessness and programs for homeless youth. Working together we are making real progress in helping people find a way out of homelessness – and preventing them from becoming homeless in the first place.”
Over the course of their 19-year history, Cypress Hill has sold more than 20 million albums worldwide, including more than 9 million records in the U.S. alone. As strong supporters of helping homeless youth across the nation, Cypress Hill is determined to join the fight to get Chicago’s homeless youth off the streets and into housing: "We feel very honored to be teaming up with 'The Chicago Alliance to End Homelessness' and 'Platform One Entertainment' to take part in such a great cause. It is very sad that women, men, and even children don't have a roof over their heads, and a warm bed to sleep in at night. It is an honor to be part of such a great country that has given so much to us, so to have the opportunity to give back is very important and special." - B-Real and Sen Dog
Nancy Radner, Executive Director of The Chicago Alliance to End Homelessness remarks, “This event is so important, because it delivers the message that homelessness CAN be ended, for homeless youth and for the thousands of people who are homeless in Chicago each year. What it takes is reaching the public and the opinion makers, so that they make ending homelessness a priority. Cypress Hill and Platform One Entertainment are making a major contribution to the movement to end homelessness by raising awareness of the problem and of the solutions. We thank them for their vision and for their generous hearts.”
Following the tremendous success of the first “Dare to Dream” benefit event organized by Platform One Entertainment in January ‘08 featuring Grammy Award winner Common. The event raised $150,000 for The National Foundation for Teaching Entrepreneurship & The Common Ground Foundation. Platform One continues to demonstrate its commitment to continuing the development and delivery of amazing events to help benefit and bring meaningful awareness and fundraising to important causes and charities by partnering with Cypress Hill to raise awareness and funds for The Chicago Alliance to End Homelessness’ programs. “We are thrilled to use our experience and relationships again to harness the power of entertainment in such influential and effective ways,” expresses Platform One President Jeff Sodikoff.

About The Chicago Alliance to End Homelessness
The creation of the Chicago Alliance to End Homelessness united key stakeholders involved in ending homelessness: service providers, philanthropic leaders, the research community and people who have experienced homelessness. It removed duplication of effort, optimized the use of limited resources, and strengthened the work of implementing Chicago's Plan to End Homelessness. The Alliance brings together in a single organization the essential ingredients needed to bring an end to homelessness, in partnership with the public sector. It is a welcoming nexus where institutions and individuals who care about homelessness may participate in creating lasting solutions.
