Shermco Industries sponsored a trip for four students in Texas State Technical College’s Wind Energy program to the American Wind Energy Association’s WINDPOWER 2008 Conference & Expo. Students Adrian Arispe, Mike Burnett, Randy Earnest and Jeff Reed attended the Conference from June 1-4 in Houston.
With a record-breaking 776 exhibitors, WINDPOWER 2008 Conference & Expo included more than 50 education sessions, 150 poster presentations, and more than 350 speakers and moderators on leading wind energy topics.
“We’re glad we were able to give the students from Texas State Technical College this opportunity,” said Ron Widup, executive vice president of Shermco Industries. “The AWEA Conference is one of the best places to learn about the latest developments and new technology in the wind industry.”
