Intrascope Consulting is pleased to announce that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Alternative Output, Inc., a software development consultancy led by Dr. Darrell Raymond, a published expert in software architecture and data management systems. The partnership will allow both companies to offer clients a greater scope of services for product development projects that require sophisticated hardware and software architecture and integration.
Well architected and seamlessly integrated hardware and software systems are becoming an increasingly important factor in determining the ultimate success of a high technology products in today’s marketplace.
“If your product works but the software is unreliable, or alternatively, if the software is a technological feat but the wiring is faulty, the product is as good as useless,” says Dr. Ferhan Bulca, Principal at Intrascope Consulting.
Due to the way product development is typically carried out and the growing complexity of products and systems, there is a vital need for companies to have a comprehensive architecting and integration strategy, Dr. Bulca asserts.
“The software team will work on the software, the designers will work on the design and the electrical engineers will work on the electrical components. In the end, all of these pieces of the puzzle will need to be assembled together,” Dr. Bulca continues. “Add in time and budget constraints, technician training, customer support capacity, planning for the next generation of the product, and all the other considerations that go into bringing a product to market and you have a potentially messy situation if the right processes are not in place.”
The MOU between Intrascope Consulting and Alternative Output is expected to expand both companies’ ability to help clients manage the complexities in product development that Dr. Bulca cites above.
“We wanted to partner with a company that would complement our problem-solving approach,” adds Dr. Bulca. “I believe that Alternative Output is a great choice as a partner. Their expertise in software will help to further bolster Intrascope Consulting’s own strengths in total product system architecture, design and integration strategy.”
The MOU was signed on June 25th and is effective immediately.
