Time Warner Cable, the nation’s second largest cable television operator and provider of telecommunications services, today announced that the Niagara Frontier Chapter of the American Society for Training and Development (ASTD) has selected a Time Warner Cable employee as Trainer of the Year. Kevin Backer, a ten year veteran of Time Warner Cable, will receive the ASTD Trainer of the Year Award at the association’s annual breakfast awards ceremony on June 13 at the Classics V Banquet Center in Amherst. Kevin will be recognized for developing an instructional strategy that effectively integrated new content, practical application of learning and assessment into a 3-day class to train technicians on how to install Time Warner Cable’s new digital home phone product.
