Fact: More than 1 out of every 200 children is affected by the neurological disorder known as Tourette Syndrome - over 28,000 kids in New Jersey alone.

Now the agency is introducing a revolutionary social media awareness campaign called 'Wednesday is TS Day!' that promises even better support and answers for New Jersey's Tourette Syndrome community.
"'Wednesday is TS Day!' is a really innovative use of social media," says Allan Gorman, CEO of Brandspa and visionary branding guru, "It proactively unites all of the diverse publics affected -- children and their families, and friends, educators, physicians, researchers, NJ legislators, and NJ employers."
"We wanted to find an actionable way to both invite and demand participation," Gorman goes on. "Our purpose is to create further understanding and to win support for programs that will improve the lives of kids living with TS and their families."
"'Wednesday is TS Day!' is much more effective than traditional advertising that can create awareness, but is often passive and not actionable," asserts Gorman. "With this grassroots approach, each person whose life is touched or affected by TS has an opportunity to do something about it."
The new campaign includes lots of fun and informational activities for teachers, teens, parents, health professionals and kids, including: Wednesday Educational Webinars; A "Text Ten for TS"-- social media campaign; A Wednesday's Words Essay Contest; Wednesday Walks for TS, TS Kids on the Web; kids creating fictional stories about a kid with TS, and more.
'Wednesday is TS Day' will be kicked off at the Sixth Annual Tourette Syndrome Recognition Dinner -- with special guest, radio broadcaster Craig Carton -- on Wednesday May 28, 2008 at the Rutgers Life Sciences Institute. Special proclamations declaring 'Wednesday is TS Day!' will be unveiled at the dinner from the New Jersey State Senate, New Jersey General Assembly, and the Mayor of Newark.
