More than 40 interested new home buyers and agents attended the Earth Day 2008 celebration at eon at Lindbergh on April 22. Held in the eon Sales Gallery located on Main Street in the new Lindbergh City Center, various representatives from other green organizations showed guests how easy it is to live a ‘green’ lifestyle, while agents answered any questions guests had about the environmentally-friendly community. As one of the first new home communities in the Buckhead area to pursue the EarthCraft® certification, the developers of eon, The Dawson Company and Lane Company, are consistently proving that eon is committed to not only being as environmentally-friendly as possible, but teaching others how to live ‘green’ as well.
Guests of eon at Lindbergh enjoyed cocktails, organic hors ‘doeuvres and had the opportunity to speak with representatives from the Piedmont Park Conservancy, Pike Nurseries, Dave FM and Zip Car.
“We were thrilled with the fabulous turnout at our Earth Day 2008 celebration at eon at Lindbergh,” said Tamara Kimble of The Dawson Company. “We were equally excited that representatives from various other green-focused organizations could be on hand to explain exactly what they are doing to help the environment and tell agents and new home buyers how they too can easily incorporate a green lifestyle.”
The Piedmont Park Conservancy had a video detailing the 53 acre expansion of the park and explained how others can get involved with the cause. In addition, an Organic Food specialist from Piedmont Park had a display showcasing the Green Market held at Piedmont Park from May through December, and answered questions about organic foods and how they are beneficial to a healthier lifestyle.
Representatives from Lindbergh’s Pike Nurseries were also on hand demonstrating how to grow an indoor herb garden and how to choose plants that promote a healthier indoor living environment. Guests also learned more about the benefits of using the Zip Car, which was parked outside of the eon Sales Gallery, and enjoyed music from Dave FM, who has recently launched a company-wide green campaign.
