Rapid Recovery, a refrigerant abatement company servicing the continental United States, recently completed the refrigerant abatement at the Broadstone Apartments in Gaithersburg, MD.
R3 Technologies contacted Rapid Recovery regarding the refrigerant abatement of 348 comfort air conditioning units at the Broadstone Apartment Complex. The complex consisted of 13 buildings with 5 floors each. The Complex will be demolished in the spring of 2008 in order for redevelopment of the area to take place. R3 Technologies, already familiar with Rapid Recovery’s service from previous projects, once again called on Rapid Recovery to complete the refrigerant abatement necessary to be in compliance with the Clean Air Act. Scott Dykstra of Rapid Recovery said “We recovered, labeled and documented all 348 air conditioners that were on the jobsite in just 2 days. Our customers have come to expect safe, efficient and professional service from us. Each job is different and whether there is a single a/c unit or over 300 we deliver. Our customer can’t wait weeks for the refrigerant abatement portion of their jobs and as a result Rapid Recovery continues to grow as word of our performance gets around.”
In addition to completing the refrigerant recovery on site Rapid Recovery affixes each unit with an id tag verifying that it has had the refrigerant recovered in accordance with the EPA rule. The information from each unit is then documented and stored for future use. Rapid Recovery provides a list of each unit recovered including the type and quantity of refrigerants recovered from each job.
Rapid Recovery offers refrigerant recovery and abatement nationwide through its franchise network. Their customer base includes refrigeration and air conditioning contractors, refrigeration wholesale distributors, demolition contractors, DOD, landfill administrators and in-house service departments.
