Qimpro has been hosting an annual competition for improvement and innovation for the past 15 years. It also serves to recognize excellence in team performance.
The competition cycle for 2008 has commenced with a stronger thrust towards innovation. We aim to attract applications from industry and academia. The Call for Papers is now in progress.
Papers may be submitted for either improvement and / or innovation. Last date for submissions is 30 April 2008. Competition fees for corporate submissions are Rs 20,000/- per submission and academic submissions are Rs 5000/- per submission. The finals for the competition will be held at Qimpro Convention 2008:
7 August 2008 (Day 1): Focus Improvement, for the QualTech Prize
8 August 2008 (Day 2): Focus Innovation, for the BestPrax Compass
8 August 2008 (Evening): Awards Ceremony
Mr Navin Agarwal, Director, Vedanta Group is the Keynote Speaker for Improvement on 7 August 2008; Dr R A Mashelkar is the Keynote Speaker for Innovation on 8 August 2008; and Dr J J Irani is the Chief Guest for the Awards Ceremony.
