ipoque, the leading European provider of professional solutions for Internet traffic management and analysis, has won one of the largest Internet service providers in the Middle East as a customer. Six of its new carrier-grade PRX-10G Traffic Managers will be deployed in the ISP's network to optimize the user experience of over one million subscribers with data rates of over nine gigabits per second. This win comes only one week after launching the new product.
The ISP has selected ipoque's PRX-10G bandwidth management solution due to its proven reliability in protocol and application classification along with its unparalleled performance and scalability beyond the ten gigabit per second boundary.
PRX-10G is a carrier-grade Traffic Manager, that scales up to 60 gigabits per second and is based on the IBM BladeCenter® technology. Up to six fully loaded Gigabit Ethernet or 10-Gigabit Ethernet links can be managed in a single chassis, where up to twelve load-balancing blades share the traffic load. The built-in high availability with automatic hardware fail-over ensures uninterrupted network connectivity in case of a blade failure. With the optional NEBS (Network Equipment-Building System) compliance, the PRX-10G can be installed in provider networks with particularly strict requirements on their infrastructures.
