NewswireTODAY - /newswire/ - Washington, DC, United States, 2008/01/03 - The DiUlus Institute, TDI, has gone from highly criticized and controversial pending accreditation to non-accreditation and the world's first and only non tuition institute of higher learning.

All of this has happened before it officially opens its doors.
The young upstart school is recruiting potential tuition free students known as DiUlus Scholars. The Institute's opening date is scheduled for 2008, giving future TDI students what its sponsor, Global Academy Online, Inc., believes will be an open field to compete on the world stage.

Chancellor of the emerging Institute, Fred DiUlus, who is also the CEO of Global Academy Online, Inc., the Institute’s financial sponsor and benefactor, points to the fact that it is, and continues to be a work in progress. “As a designed research university, the school is constantly being prodded by proponents to aggressively pursue faculty research to help students and other institutions of higher learning compete in the 21st century.”

As a tuition free university DiUlus points to a faculty and staff who are all volunteers. LaFonda Oliver-Bowen, one of the volunteers, is the public relations director and shares that “The Institute exists to serve as a developmental platform for faculty and colleges desiring the latest technology and methodology for their constituents. Our desire is to provide a potential student body limited to 150 students with a great education.”

The Institute has in place complete degree programs ranging from Business Administration to Sports Management. Programs and faculty are provided by Global Academy Online on a private label basis permitting the school to use the programs and faculty as their own.

Individuals from 180 countries, US Military members serving overseas, American Indians living on reservations or in Pueblos, and senior citizens over 65 are all eligible to apply for admission and an opportunity to become one of the 150 DiUlus Institute scholars.
