Over the years, Lagoon has acquired a real expertise in developing innovative catamaran designs, technical touches and creature comforts. A number of these technological advances introduced by Lagoon are today a must on most modern cruising catamarans. Here are a few of the records which confirm its leadership in the world of Cruising Catamarans:
- More than 260 catamarans built last year
- 500 Lagoon 380 units built within 8 years
- Over 250 units of Lagoon 440 built in 3 years
- Over 1500 Lagoon catamarans sailing all over the world
During the recent Paris boat show, Lagoon released a brochure for their latest addition to the range: the Lagoon 400. It's all still pretty hush-hush, with little website coverage permitted but here is what we do know: the Lagoon 400 will be launched early in 2009, and it's promising to represent the start of a new generation of Lagoon catamarans.
Designed by the team at Van Peteghem/Lauriot Prevost, the 400's overall length is stretching 39'3" with a beam of 23'9". Like all Lagoons, she will feature a very modern look and even higher sailing performance. 3 or 4 double cabin layouts will be available. A hard top Bimini is being offered as standard.
What follows are a few sample renderings sent by Lagoon. For further details, please contact your representative today.
