ChemImage, a leader in Chemical Imaging technology, is pleased to announce a new management team. ChemImage will continue its business practice of delivering innovative hardware and software solutions to the government, commercial, and academic markets from its headquarters in Pittsburgh.
Leading the organization is recently appointed Chief Operating Officer, John Belechak; formerly ChemImage’s Director of Operations and Controller. Mr. Belechak will lead a strategic, company-wide effort to continue delivery of high quality, solution-based products and services centered around the pharmaceutical, biomedical, forensics, security, and semiconductor industries.
Mr. Belechak stated, “ChemImage has long been recognized as the pioneer and leader of Chemical Imaging technology. I am excited about the opportunity that this management team presents for ChemImage and for our customers. Over the recent years we have built a solid technology and intellectual property foundation that allows us to provide value based solutions to our current and future customers.”
The new management team further comprises Bob Kibler, Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Dr. John Maier, Vice President Biomedical Research, and Dr. Patrick Treado, Chief Scientist and Chief Technology Officer. This team brings a balance of management and technology experience together as ChemImage prepares for the next phase of growth.
As VP of Sales & Marketing, Bob Kibler will head ChemImage’s commercial efforts to bring Chemical Imaging technology to the market place. Mr. Kibler has over 30 years of experience as a Sales & Marketing professional within scientific instrumentation organizations. “The ability to recruit an experienced business professional with Bob Kibler’s credentials speaks well of this organization. We are fortunate to have him,” Belechak said.
As VP of Biomedical Research, Dr. John Maier will continue in his role as the operational leader of biomedical application development. Dr. Maier has a diversified background including a PhD in experimental physics and an MD. His research work has dealt with tissue spectroscopy and imaging using near infrared, fluorescence and Raman modalities. He is a current medical license holder in the commonwealth of Pennsylvania and has been with ChemImage for 5 years.
As a pioneer in the field of Chemical Imaging (chemimage.com) who founded the company in 1994, Dr. Patrick Treado continues as a member of the senior management team. Going forward, Dr. Treado will direct ChemImage’s government practice area and will continue to advance the innovation of the company’s technology. Regarding the management changes, Dr. Treado stated, “We are confident the new team at ChemImage will sustain growth for the company, and help us to improve the quality and performance of our technologies so that we can create value for our customers.
