Aiming to make the most of the daylight, it was an early start for many of The Catamaran Company staff this morning. John Potter and Annie Dufour, show coordinators, breezed into the office for a few last minute items, grabbed a much-needed cup of coffee, and were on their way to our exhibiting area located on docks 48A – 48J. Following behind them is the show trailer containing all of the Company's exhibiting materials.

Right now our display area off of Las Olas Marina is just a bare floating dock, but once the trailer arrives, the Catco crew will proceed to unpack all of the tents, furniture, plants and accessories to begin piecing together a display that’s won the 'Best Booth' award at this show for the past three years. This year’s tropical theme is sure to mirror our beautiful show location here in Ft. Lauderdale. Palm trees will be sprinkled throughout the booth and docks, ceramic geckos and numerous other tropical touches wound into the corners of the tents and Tiki seating areas. A fully stocked VIP show bar will also be erected.

Pretty soon the show docks will be a forest of catamaran, trimaran and monohull masts. Over at Starlight Landing, the Company's private docks, the display boats are being prepared for the delivery to the show. Move in staging time is scheduled between 1PM – 2PM, so the Delivery Captains need to be off the docks by 11:00AM to make their way up the New River, thus avoiding any unnecessary delays.

Last night the service department loaded a show duration’s-worth of cleaning supplies onto the Lagoon 500, so as soon as the boats are tied up at their slips, our cleaning crews can make one final sweep, ensuring everything is in optimum condition for tomorrow. As the show progresses, having their supplies onsite also makes the subsequent early-morning detailing a breeze.

There’s no denying that a lot of hard work goes into these shows, but having the right people in place and a plan to refer to really makes all the difference. A big thank you to the crews out there today who are hard at work bringing this show together. Many of us at The Catamaran Company are looking forward to a greak week of boat show weather, catamarans and visitors. Hope to see you there!
