Stephen P. Trenholm, a CPA and Tax Manager with the accounting and business advisory firm, Rucci, Bardaro & Barrett, PC in Malden, has been appointed to the Tax Practice Improvement Committee of the accounting industry’s national flagship organization, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Trenholm, who became a certified public accountant in 1982, will serve on the 14-member volunteer committee for a one-year term.
In his appointed role, Trenholm will help analyze new, emerging or changing areas of tax practice, and will assist with the issuance of practice guidelines, updates and checklists to help AICPA members improve the scope and quality of their tax practices.
The AICPA is the largest professional organization for CPAs and accounting professionals in the country, with over 330,000 members.
