CommVault® today announced that it has added the Simpana™ 7.0 software suite of products to its OEM agreement with Hitachi Data Systems Corporation, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hitachi, Ltd, for CommVault’s industry-leading data protection software suite, CommVault Simpana™ 7.0. Available immediately from Hitachi as the new Hitachi Data Protection Suite 7.0 Powered by CommVault®, this software is a powerful solution designed to improve the performance, availability and security of enterprise customers’ data storage assets, while reducing storage complexity, administrative overhead and operating costs. Today's news marks an extension to the existing worldwide OEM agreement the companies forged in March, 2005.
