The first day of Chinese Prime Minister's visit to Airbus Toulouse based, aircraft maker was marked by a cooperation agreement between China and Airbus Industries. The draft-agreement signed on Sunday by Chinese Commission of Reform and Development (NDRC), Vice-President, Zhang Xiaoqiang, and Chairman of Airbus Industries Mr. Gustav Humbert about establishing extended cooperation with China.
On second day, Mr Li Hai, President of CASGC, and Airbus President / CEO Mr. Gustav Humbert signed in Paris the general terms agreement in the presence of Chinese Prime Minister Wen Jiabao and French Prime Minister Dominique de Villepin. With a value close to 8.3 billion Euros (USD $10 billion), the total order is based on the delivery of 150 A320's Family.
Aircrafts will be delivered to six airlines, including Air China, China Southern Airlines, Sichuan Airlines, China Eastern Airlines, Shenzhen Airlines, and Hainan Airlines. 58 percent (58%) of total aircraft orders from China this year will benefit to Airbus Industries.
The "Commercial Aircraft War" is real, both Boeing Company and Airbus are watching each other's, very moves. With this very large order from China, Airbus is clearly the number one commercial aircraft maker.
