Just one month after announcing the new luxurious interior changes to their range, renewed versions of the Lagoon 380, and a diesel option for the 420, we are proud to report that Lagoon’s designers are no where near being finished, not by a long shot.
A press announcement made yesterday unveiled two new Lagoons to be added to the family by 2008, a Lagoon 400 and a 620 model. This move underscores the growing demand for the comfortable catamaran brand, for both charter and private use.
Lagoon Presents the 400
Located in the product line between the Lagoon 380 and the 420, The Lagoon 400 will represent the start of a new generation of Lagoon catamarans. With a length of 40’ and a breadth of 23’7”, the 400 will exert an extremely modern look and updated interior while offering a spacious 3 or 4 double cabin layout. A hard top bimini will be available as standard.
Lagoon 620 to replace Lagoon 67
Replacing the Lagoon 67, the 620 will become the admiral ship of Lagoon catamarans. Stretching 62ft. in length with a beam of 33ft., this would be the latest reference from Lagoon in larger catamarans to be introduced to the mega catamaran market. 3 different versions will be offered: 4, 5 or 6 double cabins, beds with side access, separate toilets and separate showers. Innovative interior fittings are offered by the talented team at Couedel-Hugon design firm. This catamaran isn’t even in production yet and already has a confirmed order from a Singapore buyer.
An Impressive Track Record
The facts is, Lagoon has made it pretty difficult to debate their claim of leadership in the world of cruising catamarans. Presently there are over 1,500 Lagoon catamarans sailing all over the world, with these record series to date:
- More than 450 Lagoon 380 units built in 8 years
- About 250 units of Lagoon 440 built in 3 years
- More than 260 catamarans built in 2006
- 150 hybrid Lagoon 420s on order
