How-to television shows on organization have become increasingly popular in the last few years. The format is fairly typical: a friendly stranger comes into a person’s home to help them clean out their clutter and get organized. Within an hour, the problem is solved. But while millions of Americans count on books, websites, and television shows to help them become more organized, most of these popular methods simply don’t work for adults with Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD).
One of the common symptoms of Adult ADD is difficulty with organization, which results in cluttered homes and offices. This lack of organizational skills, combined with a tendency to become easily bored or overwhelmed, adds to the stress and frustration that many adults with ADD suffer from on a daily basis.
The ADD Management Group, a company that specializes in coaching adults with ADD, has developed a new method for getting rid of clutter. Designed for and by adults with ADD, the process is presented in three simple steps:
