The selection process was challenging, but the selection was made, and the first meeting took place last month.
As previously announced, the group is comprised of CEOs, executive directors, general managers, and business owners interested in growing their medical device or life science business in the state of Michigan and enjoys a host of networking and learning opportunities. For example, the first meeting covered topics such as reducing time-to-market, and provided several cross-functional tools to effectively manage the impact of team decisions, and to fully and objectively capture markets' and customers' needs.
The Chief Executives Roundtable is a key component of the Michigan Life Sciences Pipeline, the 21st Century Jobs Fund initiative designed to facilitate and accelerate growth in the healthcare industry in Michigan. Monthly meetings are facilitated by CJPS Enterprises (cjps-enterprises.com), a firm dedicated to providing entrepreneurial leadership to companies in need of explosive growth.
"We had a lot of interest from a lot more individuals than we expected", Christophe Sevrain, CEO of CJPS Enterprises, explained. "However, some could not commit to attending regularly, and others did not have the background, commitment to high growth, or healthcare focus we were looking for."
The participants of this first group are Billy Huss, Site Manager for Healthcare Industries of Dow Corning Corporation, James Safran, President and C.E.O. of Beaumont Services Company, Mark Rathbone, C.E.O. of PTI Engineered Plastics, Inc., Maureen Krauss, Deputy Director for Economic Development for Oakland County, Michael Smolin, Owner of Jade Scientific, Inc., and Robert Casalou, President of St. John Providence Park Hospital.
