Bharti Telesoft, has signed a deal to deploy its hugely popular Color Ring Back Tone (CRBT) services, Voice Portal and Multimedia Portal services with Vodafone Fiji, the Pacific island’s innovative mobile operator.

In keeping with Bharti Telesoft’s commitment to building long-term relationships with its customers, the deal is based on a revenue share arrangement, with both Bharti Telesoft and Vodafone Fiji sharing in the investment and returns from the deployment of these popular content-based services.

Color Ring Back Tone has proved a major success wherever deployed – be it in India or overseas, and with Bharti Telesoft’s growing content focus, is set to replicate this success for Vodafone Fiji. Voice and Multimedia Portal services will deliver the latest infotainment services in video, audio, image, or text, to Fijian subscribers, keeping them tuned to news, business and market information, sport, and entertainment as and when they desire.

Vodafone Fiji has over 280,000 subscribers – over 25% of the island’s total population - and the mobile operator has the largest subscriber base among all telecom service providers in the country. Growth in the subscriber base continues to be rapid and the demand for further VAS is growing. “These new content services are a perfect offering for Fiji’s young and vibrant population and we will be working closely with Bharti Telesoft to deliver a wide range of mobile content to satisfy the infotainment needs of our customers. In today’s dynamic world, we want to make Vodafone the natural choice for getting news, business information, catching up on movies and TV, creating content, and sharing it for our customers,” explained Ms. Avanthi Senaratne, Chief Marketing Officer, Vodafone Fiji.
“We are thrilled to have Vodafone Fiji as our customer and very excited about the prospects of working with them to deliver new and exciting infotainment services to their rapidly growing customer base. Based on our past experience, we are confident that CRBT and the Voice and Multimedia Portals will be a major hit with Fiji’s mobile subscribers,” added Mr. Sanjiv Mital, CEO, Bharti Telesoft.
