CentralSquare Technologies, a leading provider of public sector software, today announced the expansion of Centerline AI into its Public Administration product line, bringing natural-language support directly into government workflows. Available today as a standalone product, Centerline AI is designed to expand into Public Administration workflows over time, replacing traditional documentation searches with step-by-step guidance. Planning staff can ask about permit requirements and zoning codes, finance teams can navigate budget processes and grant eligibility, and residents can get answers about licenses, building codes and civic procedures. Responses are grounded in the organization’s own documents and policies rather than the open internet.
“Centerline AI is about meeting public sector agencies where they are, starting as a standalone tool today and expanding into the workflows they rely on over time,” said Lori Wood, VP of Product Management, CentralSquare Technologies. “Municipalities are under constant pressure to do more with fewer resources. This gives them a practical way to work faster and catch problems earlier, without adding complexity to their day-to-day operations.”
The expansion reinforces CentralSquare’s cloud strategy. Customers who migrate to CentralSquare’s cloud environment receive Centerline AI at no cost for a limited introductory period. Existing cloud customers can purchase the capability at a reduced early-adopter rate. On-premises customers can also purchase Centerline AI.
For Public Administration teams, that potential extends beyond internal workflows to how municipalities serve their communities.
“Reviewing building plans means manually checking every submission against our bylaws and codes, and issues can surface late, causing delays and rework,” said Lourdes Rodriguez, Building Administrator for Bal Harbour Village, FL. “What excites me about Centerline AI is the potential to catch gaps upfront and give residents instant answers and forms. It’s a real step forward in making our services more accessible.”
