• Successful partnership continued since 2019;
• Framework agreement covers a potential call-off of up to 600 MAN TGE vehicles;
• Cooperation spans Germany, Denmark, United Kingdom, Poland and, more recently, Spain;
• Joint expansion into additional markets planned.

The existing framework agreement for the supply of MAN TGE vehicles has recently been extended by a further three years. Under the agreement, a potential of up to 600 vehicles may be ordered by the end of 2028. Established in 2019, the partnership currently covers Germany, Denmark, United Kingdom and Poland, with Spain added as the latest market. MAN TGE serves as the base vehicle for rescue and ambulance units, which are converted by local bodybuilders in the respective countries.

“TGE primarily provides ‘value for money’. Furthermore and especially with the most recent updates the technical level of the vehicles is really good and supports Falck’s ambitions in terms of safety and operational durability,” explains Michael Gade, Head of Fleet Sourcing & Equipment, Global Procurement at Falck, outlining the reasons for the successful collaboration.

Since the start of the collaboration, MAN has firmly established itself as a high-performance partner vehicle in the ambulance sector. The success of the concept is particularly evident in Spain: by working closely with four leading Spanish body manufacturers and providing intensive customer support, MAN has steadily strengthened its market presence in a highly competitive environment. As a result, MAN Truck & Bus Iberia increased its sales of ambulance vehicles to more than 335 units in 2025 - Falck’s orders have also played a significant part in this.

Thomas Herzog, Head of International Key Account Management Van at MAN Truck & Bus, highlights key factors behind the success of the MAN TGE as an ambulance and emergency vehicle: “Our many years of experience in International Key Account Management, combined with the joint development of tailor-made solutions for customers like Falck make a decisive difference. This ensures smooth processes and a complete vehicle that delivers both in terms of quality and functionality. Close cooperation with body manufacturers enables us to create solutions that provide real operational value for our customers. That is precisely what MAN stands for.”

Falck (falck.com) is one of the world’s leading providers of healthcare and emergency services, operating in more than 25 countries. In Europe, emergency medical services form one of the company’s core business areas. In Germany alone, Falck carries out more than 300.000 operations each year, providing emergency rescue services, patient transport, as well as fire and fire-protection services. With a global workforce of more than 25.000 employees, Falck relies on highly specialized teams and robust operational structures to ensure rapid and reliable medical care.

With the extension of the framework agreement, MAN Truck & Bus and Falck are laying the groundwork for the joint development of further markets. At the same time, the partnership enables the requirements of modern emergency services to be incorporated at an early stage into future vehicle concepts.
