The focus at Yaskawa (Stand 5C26) will be on turnkey systems from its own European plant engineering, arc and spot welding robots from the MOTOMAN AR and SP series, a laser hybrid solution and the Weld4Me CE cobot welding cell.
Two spot welding cells for body construction
Two sophisticated, high-performance spot welding cells with MOTOMAN series robots will be at the stand, exemplifying the company’s decades of experience in working with international automobile manufacturers. Yaskawa’s robotic solutions meet industry-specific standards in body construction and are already in use in tens of thousands of applications worldwide.
The systems shown are based on the MOTOMAN SP Series a range of powerful and compact spot welding robots Their slim design makes these robots ideal for space-critical production environments. They offer wide working ranges and, with load capacities of 80 to 250 kilograms, are suitable for a variety of commercially available spot welding guns, especially servo-controlled guns with an integrated robotic gun balancing function. In addition to pure welding tasks, the SP series of robots can also be used for handling processes.
Easy-to-install cobot welding solution
In addition, Yaskawa (yaskawa.eu.com) will be presenting the Weld4Me CE turnkey cobot welding solution. This easy-to-integrate welding cell is specially designed for small and medium-sized companies, as well as for production lines with a wide variety of variants. The heart of the system is a collaborative six-axle robot with protection class IP67 (immune to welding splashes and dust). The intuitive operation via direct hand guidance and user-friendly welding wizard software permits a quick introduction to the robot-assisted automation of manual MIG/MAG welding processes.

The portfolio is rounded off by the MotoSim EG-VRC simulation and programming environment in conjunction with Visual Components OLP, a leading simulation software on the market. The combination optimizes the path planning and setup of systems. This combination enables the best results, especially in multi-axis operation, which is essential in the welding sector.
The powerful software solution allows the offline programming of complex robot systems including portals, roadways and positioners.
