Elecard, a leading developer of software solutions for video encoding, streaming, video quality monitoring, and analysis technologies, is deepening its impact on the streaming industry through participation in the Streaming Video Technology Alliance (SVTA). Following the successful merger of DASH-IF into SVTA, Elecard was welcomed into the streaming video community. Over the past year, the company has joined several SVTA working groups, contributing both its technical expertise and field-proven software solutions - CodecWorks and Boro - to support efficient low-latency delivery and real-time stream monitoring.
Through participation in the Low Latency Streaming, Encoding and Packaging, and Streaming Video Operations working groups, Elecard works alongside other members to leverage existing encoding and packaging technologies to reduce latency across the source-to-consumer video delivery chain - improving methods for large audience distribution, particularly valuable during live events. As part of their activities, the working groups build PoC implementations to solve operational challenges and publish proven best practices.
Another initiative Elecard is involved in is the SVTA Sandbox Project a cloud-based lab environment. With this powerful tool, any working group can seamlessly define and deploy end-to-end streaming environments, test configurations, and explore new technologies. The Sandbox now integrates Boro, the industry-leading QoS/QoE monitoring system, and CodecWorks, a software platform for real-time encoding, transcoding and adaptive bitrate streaming via HLS and MPEG-DASH protocols.

Streaming Video Technology Alliance (svta.org) is the global technical association addressing challenges of delivering high-quality video at scale.
