The project will enhance the efficiency and environmental performance of the plant, contributing significantly to the region's sustainability goals. The value of the order will not be disclosed. It is included in ANDRITZ’s order intake in the first quarter of 2025.
The retrofit includes ANDRITZ TurboSorp technology, which will significantly reduce emissions of harmful substances such as sulfur oxides, hydrogen chloride, hydrogen fluoride, dioxins, furans, heavy metals, and mercury. This will ensure full compliance with Germany’s stringent air quality regulations.

This retrofit will help us improve local air quality while ensuring long-term, environmentally responsible operations for our city,” states Patrick Kosiolek, Section Manager at TBS.
The project is scheduled for completion within a year and a half. Construction and commissioning are set to begin in November 2025 and conclude in March 2027.
