• TDK has received the Award for Excellence at the NIKKEI Integrated Report Award for the third consecutive year;
• TDK was selected as One of the Excellent Integrated Reports and One of the Most-improved Integrated Reports by the GPIF's Domestic Equity Managers.
The report conveys the company’s stance on how a highly diverse TDK United team members are can accelerate the transformation of TDK itself and enhance corporate value so that TDK can continue to contribute to the transformation of society through its business.
In awarding this year's prize, the following points were taken into evaluation by the judges:
• Long-term Vision and a new Medium-term Plan were included in this year's report, which clarified the business strategy and materiality, and improved the balance between financial and pre-financial aspects of the company's operations.
• Long-term Vision,“TDK Transformation,” was established as the axis of the report, and the details were developed by incorporating this, making it easy-to-understand the story.
For the "Excellent Integrated Reports," TDK received 3 votes, and for the “Most-improved Integrated Reports”, TDK received 2 votes, by asset managers entrusted with domestic equity investment of the Government Pension Investment Fund (GPIF).
TDK continues to place importance on active information disclosure and mutual communication with stakeholders in order to enhance its corporate value.

Nikkei Integrated Report Award
Nikkei, Inc. (nikkei.com) has organized the NIKKEI Annual Report Award since 1998, with the aim of further enhancing and promoting annual reports published by Japanese companies. In recent years, these reports have evolved and expanded to include non-financial information such as ESG and explanations of corporate values, and these new "integrated reports" are attracting considerable attention. In response to this, the award was renamed to the NIKKEI Integrated Report Award in 2021, the judging criteria were made multi-layered and expanded upon, and the award categories were reorganized and enlarged.
The award in this year received a record number of 496 applications from companies and organizations, and each award was selected after a review by fund managers, analysts and academic experts.

Excellent Integrated Reports and Most-improved Integrated Reports selected by GPIF’s asset managers entrusted with domestic equity investment
The GPIF requested external asset managers to each nominate up to 10 companies, and the results of the survey were compiled into two lists, comprised of 78 and 93 companies selected for creating excellent integrated reports and most improved integrated reports, respectively.
