IdeaNova’s Inplay software integrates with Kontron’s Cab-n-Connect™ P100 portable streaming system, offering powerful features not commonly found in legacy systems. Ideal for charters, seasonal flights, or evaluating passenger response, it provides a plethora of services desired by customers including secure DRM playback, screen sharing, onboard chat, live TV, and effortless content discovery through IdeaNova’s Captive Portal. The Inplay Content Loader also integrates with KontronOS software solution, ensuring flawless operation and a centralized management view to each device. This makes it possible to gather operation logs, as well as perform quick content and software updates to the aircraft more rapidly.
Offering high-performance connectivity and easy integration and maintenance in a compact form factor, Kontron’s Cab-n-Connect™ P100 infotainment system with up to 8TB of storage available and an 8-core x86 Intel CPU, enabling passengers to access 6,000 hours of high-resolution content from their personal mobile devices. It supports an array of applications allowing airlines to provide buffer-free OTT content mimicking the internet experience, even without in-flight connectivity.
The partnership aims to provide a turnkey solution ideal for customers who would like to offer a “drop in” IFE platform for charter flights. While simple to run and easy to carry onboard, it packs many powerful features that allow it to deliver large quantities of content in a short time, under constrained network conditions.
