Quest Software, a global leader in systems management, data protection, and security software, has announced an accelerated momentum in its partnership with Microsoft to help customers strengthen identity infrastructure through integration with Microsoft Security tools. This underscores Quest’s commitment to innovate and deliver increased value to organizations seeking to improve identity security.
Earlier this year, Quest launched Security Guardian, a new solution built on Microsoft Azure, for Active Directory (AD) security that can significantly reduce the attack surface for enterprises and improve identity threat detection and response (ITDR). This innovative solution protects an organization’s most valuable assets, thus mitigating vulnerabilities and insecure configurations across AD deployments. Quest Security Guardian not only delivers the security standards, service level, and scalability that customers require, but is also part of Quest’s broader On Demand SaaS platform, which has earned SOC 2 Type 2 certification. This demonstrates Quest's dedication to customer data security according to the industry’s highest standards.
And now, Quest Security Guardian is available and transactable in the Azure Marketplace, resulting in a simplified procurement process. Customers can now easily allocate their Security Guardian spend against their current Microsoft Azure Consumption Commitment (MACC). For those with MACC, the cost of Security Guardian can be applied against their Azure commitment, with the added benefit of making use of existing budget allocations.
Furthermore, Microsoft has chosen Quest as an exclusive member of the Microsoft Security Copilot Partner Private Preview. Quest was selected based on its proven experience with Microsoft Security technologies and the value Quest delivers in securing Microsoft identities, as well as its leadership in the hybrid AD cyber resilience market. Building on this collaboration, Quest and Microsoft are working jointly to address the pressing challenges outlined in the State of Hybrid Active Directory Cyber Resilience report. With half of IT organizations struggling to handle AD security with existing staff and facing the loss of skilled AD resources due to retirements, Quest and Microsoft are exploring ways to integrate Quest's unique AD security capabilities with the power of Microsoft's AI-based security product to defend against AD threats at machine speed and enhance the skills of customers' staff.
"We are proud to be at the forefront of cybersecurity innovation and have worked closely with Microsoft in this area for many years. Collaborating with Microsoft, we are realizing the potential of artificial intelligence, strengthening, and improving cyber defence mechanisms, and ultimately ensuring the safety of our customers," said John Hernandez, President, and General Manager of Quest Software. "With Quest and Microsoft's combined knowledge and years of hands-on experience, customers will be able to unlock new opportunities to improve identity security posture and achieve business success."
