As the VP of Sales for Catalis, Inc., Baggette will be responsible for all sales channels, including vertical markets such as major healthcare institutions, resellers, universities and practice groups, for the company’s unique Catalis Accelerator EMR software.

“Doctors are hungry for an EMR that truly is ‘plug-and-play’ and has the features that raise the level of patient care,” said Randy Lipscher, M.D., CEO of Catalis. “As a result, Catalis is experiencing tremendous growth and we are excited to have a premier sales expert like John Baggette lead our team as we roll out the only graphical EMR (electronic medical record) on the market today,”

The Accelerator is the only medical records technology that is intuitive, thorough, extensive, ergonomic, and multi-faceted. Designed for use on a tablet PC, Accelerator streamlines the entire medical records process -- from check-in through diagnosis, lab work, medical tests and prescriptions -- with complete fluidity.

Doctors are able to move from exam room to front office with their Accelerator-loaded tablet PC, thereby physically replicating the traditional doctor’s clipboard and not disturbing existing doctors’ office protocol. The Accelerator includes intuitive anatomical point-and-click diagnostic referencing. At the touch of the finger, Accelerator users have complete diagnostic and pharmacological databases that are updated on a daily basis by the Catalis medical team, which keeps up with new treatment options and new drug approvals.

The Accelerator software also includes patient-sensitive drug interaction alerts that help eliminate mistakes and save lives. The Accelerator seamlessly and wirelessly communicates with the entire medical industry, including laboratories and pharmacies, saving medical personnel and patients valuable time and insuring accuracy. The Accelerator is even able to convert doctors’ notoriously illegible penmanship into easily read type-font.

The Catalis Accelerator employs military-grade encryption, fulfilling the requirements of the U.S. HIPPA law requiring health care providers to digitize patient records, yet provide utmost computer security.

Baggette joins Catalis from Hewlett-Packard’s Information Management Division, where he served as Director of Strategic Business Development. At Hewlett-Packard, Baggette and his team of managers, technical architects and consultants delivered creative, modern solutions to obtain, manage and maintain valuable enterprise information.

Prior to joining the Hewlett-Packard team in 2004, Baggette served as the Director of Business Development for Cap Gemini Ernst & Young in San Francisco. In this position, he effectively led a team of experts on a wide variety of systems integration and strategic business consulting projects.

Altogether, Baggette comes to Catalis, Inc. with more than 20 years of professional sales, management and business consulting expertise. Baggette also served the United States Air Force for 7 years as a Flight Engineer in Charleston, S.C.

“Information management and streamlined, instantly-accessible health records are some of the most important issues confronting our healthcare system today,” Baggette said. “I look forward to being on the Catalis team that helps improve healthcare business and patient operations.”
