Kontron, a leading global provider of IoT/Embedded Computer Technology (ECT), introduces its latest SMARTCASE™ S501 mini kit solution. This compact marvel, with a volume of only 0.87 litres, is perfectly designed for use with the latest K3921-N and K3921-H mini-STX motherboards powered by Intel® Core™ i3 and Intel® N-series (Alder Lake N) processors.
The S501 offers 2 front USB ports (1x USB-C 3.2 Gen1 with Alternate Mode for Power Delivery and DP output) as well as 4x USB 3.2 ports at the rear, 2x LAN, 1x optional COM port, and Kensington Lock support. The chassis can be used in both horizontal and vertical mode and can also be attached to a wall or to a monitor via VESA mounting. The chassis can be customized with a range of accessories, from active and passive cooling solutions to AC adapters, cables, and expansion cards.
The SMARTCASE™ is fully validated and certified (CE Class B, Industrial Immunity, FCC Class B) and ensures a minimum availability of 7 years when used with a K3921-N. It is ideal for use in semi-industrial and industrial environments, such as KIOSK, POS/POI, and digital signage applications. This housing kit solution will be available from Q1/2024.
