These funds are then used to make grants to charitable nonprofit projects for eighteen counties in the region.

In 2006 Festiva Resorts started a flexible endowment fund. The purpose of this was to provide charitable resources for the communities where Festiva employees live and work. The fund was created to increase to quality of education for children in the Western North Carolina area, and reduce the poverty levels. In the event of an extraordinary global event, the fund will also be used for this type of situation.

Festiva Resorts First Annual Charity Golf Tournament was the result of the flexible endowment fund. The president and sales manager of The Catamaran Company participated in this event.
