The San Diego nonprofit, b-present Foundation, is hosting its first annual Spark Tank, a beachside collaborative event where young adult cancer survivors and their support community will converge over two days to share insights and brainstorm solutions that spark improved quality of life and health outcomes for adolescents and young adults with cancer. Featured keynotes and speakers include cancer survivors Jenni Dawn Muro, and Hernan Barangan, Tower Cancer Research Foundation’s Kelli Sargent, Empathy Bootcamp’s Colter Ray, and b-present co-founder and CEO, Abby Westerman.
Closing out this two-day innovation workshop is a beachside glow party and fundraiser on 9/22 featuring the inspiring Avalon Young, an American Idol Top 8 alum and brain cancer survivor, who will be performing live for the first time since her diagnosis in April 2021. Following Avalon, DJ RIOS will activate the dance floor and get everyone on their feet for a glow dance party to remember. RIOS has opened for big names in EDM such as Sam Feldt, Slushii, and Tommy Trash.
