KETK-TV (ketk.com) was honored with the PUBLIC SERVICE IN TELEVISION JOURNALISM AWARD for Small Markets, size 51 and up, for its special report,“Growing Pains: A Parent’s Guide to Mental Health.” The multi-platform, five-part series focused on the struggles parents face when dealing with an adolescent’s mental health issues. The series also provided resources available in East Texas to support families navigating the impact of mental health on their daily lives.
KLRT FOX 16 (fox16.com) won the TELEVISION FEATURE REPORTING AWARD for its special report,“Brotherly Competition.” The special report by Kevin Kelly highlighted the friendly competition between Kelly and his brother, which ended up saving his brother’s life.
