Voice123, the largest voice over marketplace where voice over talents promote their voice services and voice talent seekers find the best voices for their projects, published a list of the most preferred audio and sound editing software used by voice talents in their voiceover projects and recordings.
Voice over artists subscribed with Voice123 are voiceover professionals that in most of the cases use their own recording studios and computers to produce, edit, and submit their recordings and projects. Producing high quality voice over work requires technique, skills, and equipment. This is why Voice123 carried out a survey to know which is the preferred audio editing software among voice artists.
The results showed that the preferred software is Adobe Audition, chosen by 27% of the respondents. It was followed by Protools with a 16%, Cool Edit Pro and Sound Forge both with 14%, Audacity with 9%, Cubase with 3%, Garage Band with 1%, and finally Wave Pad with 1%. A 9% of the talents selected a different software not in the list.
The survey was carried out through a poll posted in the Voice Over Savvy (voiceoversavvy.com) forums, sponsored by Voice123, which have become the most active and resourceful online forums for experienced and amateur voiceover talents, voice producers, voice talent seekers, and all involved in the voice over community.
