Roll passes at the plant’s maximum speed of 800 m/min were achieved just a few days later.
The innovative ANDRITZ S6-high solution is able to roll thinner and higher-strength cold-rolled strip, which is used in the automotive industry in particular. The patented ANDRITZ system provides a means of rolling thinner strip thicknesses, even at yield points of 1,000 MPa or more.
Shougang Jingtang United Iron & Steel Co., Ltd, China, commissioned ANDRITZ to supply an S6-high cold-rolling mill with an annual capacity of 280,000 tons for the production of high-strength and ultra-high-strength steel strip for the automotive industry in the summer of 2018.
