The aim of this initiative is to publicise Walloon trends and innovations relating to the Industry of the Future.
Thales Alenia Space has been present in Belgium for over 55 years and is a recognised expert in the development and manufacture of electronic equipment on board satellites and launchers. With the rapid changes in the space market, both from an economic and technological perspective, Thales Alenia Space is accelerating its innovation cycles and becoming a transformation ‘anticipator’ to remain a leader in it sector.
New industrial paradigms have been adopted by Thales Alenia Space, in particular as part of its contribution to Ariane 6, the future European launcher, and the development of Space Inspire, its new fully digital and reconfigurable satellite platform. In Belgium, this transformation, carried out in particular with the Walloon Region’s support, has resulted in the introduction of aeronautical or automotive components in space equipment, the integration of new electrically powered interconnection technologies, the use of connected tools enabling traceability of operations and their controls as well as digital continuity within 3D manufacturing methods or the use of augmented reality.
Within the framework of the ‘Industry of the Future’ programme, which is part of the Digital Wallonia digital strategy, Thales Alenia Space in Belgium has set itself apart through the introduction of digital technologies, from the design of its equipment to its implementation. On this basis, it is becoming a ‘Made Different Digital Wallonia Ambassador’.
