At this year's EuroShop, Diebold Nixdorf will present leading self-service technologies, a portfolio of Technical Safety Equipment (TSE) to comply with the German Cash Security Ordinance and, the latest POS systems. These checkout solutions are each complemented by software and service solutions to meet the needs of the largest retail segments. All of this will be shown from 16 to 20 February in Düsseldorf at EuroShop (euroshop-tradefair.com) in Hall 6, Stand E62. This year's stand is dedicated to the Customer Journey and invites retailers to "Join the Storevolution™.”
Today, retail customers across various sectors have ever-increasing demands and expectations which can, in turn, change shopping habits. For example, daily micro-shopping trips are becoming more and more common in food retailing. These fast and short shopping trips require particularly efficient checkout processes, with touchpoints specifically tailored to them.
Self-checkout solutions for an optimal customer journey
To meet this need, retailers can use digitally enhanced self-service checkouts with EASY eXpress or EASY SCO from Diebold Nixdorf to make the customer journey smooth. Customers can determine the speed of scanning and packing themselves, and can control the cost of their shopping cart at any time - in addition to reducing waiting time at the checkout.
Thanks to the open software platform VynamicTM Self-Checkout, the self-service systems can be flexibly integrated into any checkout environment, regardless of whether or not self-checkout solutions are currently in use. The solution is completed by Managed Services offerings that are specially tailored to the self-service requirements in the various retail segments.
The powerful and energy-efficient All-in-One POS BEETLE A1150 is being introduced, which, despite its closed, fully integrated design, allows the processor or display to be replaced. This module concept makes this all-in-one POS particularly future-proof. In addition, Diebold Nixdorf will show mobile, handheld devices that allow employees anywhere in the store to scan articles, complete payment processes, access the merchandise management system or place a request with colleagues.
Using the VynamicTM Checkout software platform, retailers can easily offer enhanced, personalized shopping experiences. For example, new future-oriented, digital payment methods can be integrated, and the retailer's loyalty program or vouchers can be centrally managed via the software.
Modern TSE solutions and deposit return systems
Diebold Nixdorf's TSE portfolio, which has been provisionally certified by the BSI, complies with the Kassensicherungsverordnung (Cash Security Ordinance) in force since January 2020, thereby making all cash solutions legally secure. These TSE solutions are available embedded, as USB stick or ConnectBox. The new Connect Box is a branch server that offers real added value, particularly for large retailers. It can be used to upgrade several cash registers in a branch and make them legally compliant.
For a consistently improved, personalized customer experience in the store from the entrance to the payment, Diebold Nixdorf will also show reverse vending solutionsthat are integrated into the store's POS processes via the Vynamic self-checkout software. Thus, in addition to the self-service systems, branch employees can now also monitor and control the deposit return systems via this platform.
