Policy-Based Data Protection
Managing a large VMware, Hyper-V, or AWS infrastructure is a challenging task. NAKIVO Backup & Replication v8.1 eases the burden by introducing Policy-Based Data Protection. This innovative functionality lets customers create backup, replication, and backup copy policies to fully automate data protection processes.
A policy can be based on VM name, size, location, power state, tag, or a combination of multiple parameters. Once set up, policies regularly scan your entire infrastructure for VMs that match their criteria and protect the VMs automatically. This way, all important VMs and EC2 instances are protected with little to no manual input required.
Universal Object Recovery
To further improve data recovery processes, NAKIVO Backup & Replication has introduced Universal Object Recovery, which enables customers to recover any application objects back to source, to a custom location, or even to a physical server.
The Universal Object Recovery functionality is indispensable when it comes to saving time and resources on restoration. Customers can recover individual items from any file system or application by mounting VM disks from backups to a target recovery location, without needing to restore the entire VM first.
