The national DBIA competition recognizes projects across multiple disciplines whose projects achieve budget and schedule goals, as well as demonstrate advanced and innovative application of total integrated project delivery, including design-build best practices.
PCL’s Water Infrastructure Group was the key subcontractor on the improvement project and teamed with Carollo Engineers to design and build the 24-million-gallon-per-day treatment plant. The improved treatment plant features state-of-the-art magnetic ion exchange to pretreat water from multiple wells before it enters other stages of treatment. This additional pretreatment step reduces dissolved organic carbon and lowers levels of disinfection by-product materials.
