InterSystems, a global leader in information technology platforms for health, business, and government applications, has been recognized in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Operational Database Management Systems. Of the 14 vendors included this year, InterSystems is one of three companies positioned as a Challenger, evaluated for ability to execute and completeness of vision. The company has improved its rating on the completeness of vision axis compared to the previous year. InterSystems has been included in the annual report since its 2013 inception.
InterSystems recently introduced the InterSystems IRIS Data Platform, a unified data platform that combines analytical and transaction processing with native interoperability for all types of data. InterSystems builds on the proven heritage of Caché, a leading data platform that is used by six of the world’s 10 largest investment banks, as well as innovative organizations in healthcare, retail, and beyond. With the ability to rapidly scale and manage both heterogeneous data and fast data, InterSystems IRIS accelerates development cycles to meet the data demands of the digital enterprise.
In the Magic Quadrant commentary, Gartner remarked “Data and analytics leaders evaluating OPDBMS options must balance current and future needs in an increasingly competitive market.”
“We believe that our Gartner Magic Quadrant scores have always reflected minimal platform downtime, and it’s encouraging to see that did not waiver while we expanded on our offerings with the introduction of InterSystems IRIS. We continue to deliver flexible and highly functional solutions that are backed up with reliable and constant support,” said Carlos Kuhl Nogueira, general manager of InterSystems IRIS Data Platform. “To us, our position in this year’s Gartner Magic Quadrant for Operational Database Management Systems represents the impact of our data platforms across the globe, as they power the mission-critical and high-availability applications that matter most to our customers and their customers.”
InterSystems is also recognized for its offering in the Operational Database Management (ODBMS) Software market on Gartner’s Peer Insights review site, earning a 4.7 out of 5.0 as of October 23, 2018, based on 74 reviews.
“We have been using the Caché Database for years as a backend to our Brand Sharing Platform. The performance and stability of the database have been exceptional,” said one reviewer on the Gartner Peer Insights site, a Chief Technology Officer of a $50 million dollar firm. “The database is rock solid and you have the ability to tune it to your needs for great performance and stability.”
