Turbonomic, the leader in workload automation for hybrid cloud, today announced that it has achieved Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud Management Tools Competency status as an inaugural global launch AWS Partner Network (APN) Partner as one of only six partners for Resource and Cost Optimization. Turbonomic is also one of only six APN Partners who have attained AWS Migration Competency for Discovery and Planning.
The AWS Competency Program recognizes APN companies who demonstrate technical proficiency and proven customer success in specialized solution areas, including cloud management and migration. Turbonomic is showcasing its solution during the AWS Summit in Atlanta (booth #408).
Turbonomic enables AWS customers to properly manage, optimize and govern their AWS workloads while maintaining the speed, agility, elasticity, resiliency and cost benefit that the cloud provides. Turbonomic does this by delivering an accurate, real-time view of workload consumption, across IaaS, PaaS and KaaS, with the resulting recommendations of configuration for compute and storage resources. Turbonomic provides “what if” modeling capabilities, allowing customers to prepare and forecast based on changes in their estate, coupled with the ability for customers to optimize their on-premises workloads before moving them to AWS.
Additionally, Turbonomic maintains a real-time understanding of resource consumption from the application to the underlying infrastructure. Workloads are self-managing, anywhere, in real-time (“SMART”), ensuring they always get precisely the right resources they need to assure performance while minimizing cost and maintaining compliance with policies. Additionally, Turbonomic is capable of doing this in the context of Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2) Reserved Instances (RI). Continuously automating the consumption of Amazon RIs helps customers maximize the elasticity of their AWS environment at the lowest possible cost.
Murphy Oil trusted Turbonomic to complete its migration to AWS in under three months and under budget. The software more than paid for itself in less than 90 days by delivering an environment that is twice as efficient without sacrificing performance and policy compliance. Murphy Oil also increased on-premises infrastructure utilization by 50 percent, and decommissioned unnecessary hardware to realize 40 percent savings on its hypervisor for the new, right-sized environment.
“Through the Cloud Management Tools Competency, AWS is helping customers identify powerful and proven solutions to most-effectively manage, optimize and govern AWS workloads. As an inaugural AWS Cloud Management Tools Competency launch APN partner, Turbonomic is enabling customers to achieve the full potential of their AWS environments by uniquely ensuring that all workloads are self-managing, whether on-premises or on AWS, so that they continuously get precisely the resources needed to assure performance at the lowest cost while complying with business policies,” said Mor Cohen, Cloud CTO at Turbonomic.
Turbonomic was recently named a leader in Cloud Cost Monitoring and Optimization in The Forrester Wave™: Cloud Cost Monitoring and Optimization, Q2 2018. Additionally, the company recently made its third consecutive appearance on the Forbes Cloud 100 list as well as its third showing on the Inc. 5000; was named one of the “Hot 100” privately-held software companies in 2018 by JMP Securities; and was recognized as one of Inc. magazine’s 2018 Best Workplaces. Turbonomic is trusted by over 2,000 customers across 48 countries including more than 100 of the Fortune 500.
