Linux Media Labs debuted the LML 26443 h.264 four-channel encoding card; Provides Media Target Open Source drivers and applications interface for further development for single card, multi-card, MPEG-4 media streaming systems. The offerings include card sales and bare bones servers for OEM development. Linux Media Labs, a leading manufacturer of professional video interface and conversion solutions, today announced the LML 26443 and the LML Media Target Open Source Drivers and Software to the LML line of video playback and capture cards. The LML 26443 offers experienced support for Linux Open Source developers from Linux Media Arts, with development supported by the Manitoba Media Centre. The 26443 four-channel video card is our new top-of-the-line card for Linux, delivering real-time h.264 four-channel encoding and enabling customers to stream variable rates of media in a very popular and preferred format within a flexible and future-safe architecture.

Media Target software for the LML 26443 offers LML exclusive design architecture for seamless integration with numerous media platforms including Windows Media 9, Apple Quicktime, and more. The LML 26443 combines state-of-the-art hardware for low-cost Linux systems, supporting compressed formats, including the increasingly popular h.264 also know as MPEG-4. LMA’s video cards are tailor made for creative engineers who work in anything from VOIP, Streaming, Security, Broadcast, Video on Demand (VOD) and Film Production. Aside from multi-format compressed, the LML 26443 also offers software also offers HDV playback via the LML 26443’s multiple video outputs within the free program M-Player.
The new LML 26443 work flow enables ingest and compression of files up to uncompressed 8-Bit HD and SD via BNC for integration with IP and Broadcast streaming devices and systems. Within M-Player, MPEG-4 files of numerous supported file format (JPEG, TIFF, AVI, QuickTime) are instantly accessible for distribution, streaming, editing, and playback without the need to render into proprietary codecs. Real-time frame Watermarking and Steganographic Encryption are also offered within the LML Media Target software. All of this, coupled with the unique ability to capture, encode, transcode, and deliver your content in multiple formats ranging from DVD video to high quality streaming media, all from intuitive interface and all delivered to you with the source code from LML, brings a complete and powerful work flow to your media management environment.

The LML 26443 Barebones Development Server will be available for the list price of $1,395. The Media Target software will be available May 31 to all new customers of the LML 26443 cards and the LML 26443 Barebones Development Server.
