Team Beretta captain Diane Sorantino recently attended the 2018 Great Eastern Lobster Classic at Addieville East Farm in Mapleville, RI. Concurrently, Desirae Edmunds and Zachary Kienbaum attended the Ohio State Sporting Clays and FITASC Championship at Hill ‘n Dale Club in Medina, OH.
Sorantino battled adversity throughout the entire competition at the Great Eastern Lobster Classic, but persevered and topped the podium in all three events in which she competed.
Sorantino, who shoots with a Beretta A400 Xcel, secured a first-place finish in the Main Ladies event with a score of 179 out of 200, besting her nearest competitor by 9 targets. She also achieved two additional ladies champion honors in the FITASC and Robin Hollow Preliminary events with scores of 87/100 and 91/100, respectively.
Meanwhile at the Ohio State shoot, Edmunds excelled in each of her events as she topped the podium as the Ohio State Non-Resident Lady champion and FITASC Lady champion with scores of 181/200 and 47/50, respectively. Edmunds competes with a Beretta DT11 L and has been consistently racking up podium wins this year.
Kienbaum achieved a third-place finish in the main Ohio State event with a score of 189 out of 200 targets.
The team’s season will continue with the North Central Regional Championship and Gran Prix currently taking place at the Northbrook Sports Club in Hainesville, IL and the upcoming Southeast Regional Championship at the Forest City Gun Club in Savannah, GA from September 12-16.
