After speaking a to a recent motivational conference, Mr. James Thomas was approached by a young lady with an interesting request, "can you teach me how to start my own business? I don't want to sell tupperware or anything like that, I have an idea, I just don't know how to start a business."
That request birthed within Mr. Thomas the desire to find out how many other women felt the same way. to his surprise there wer many. With that, he set out on an ambitious journey to visit as many U.S. cities that he could, with a goal to teach at least 1,000 women in each city how to start and run their own business. That journey will begin on June 2, 2007 when the Empowerment and Entrepreneurship Conference for Women kicks off in Torrance California.
"This will truly be a life changing experience" said Mr. Thomas. Attendees will learn the basics of starting and running their own business, receive testing to determine if entrepreneurship is for them, learn the importance of networking, how bad relationships can ruin your chances at success, and much more. Mr. Thomas (MrJamesThomas.com) will be joined by other dynamic speakers and will feature gospel recording artist and Stellar Award nominee, Beau Williams on some of the dates.
